Provision of specific support measures in teaching

Time compensation

- unless otherwise specified in the outline of support measures and services, the increase in time applies to written tests and other written work and to written preparation for oral examinations in the context of study control, i.e. during the semester, for credit, examinations, comprehensive examinations and national examinations,

- the student is entitled to an extension of time only if he/she requests it from the centre in advance, normally at least three working days before the duly announced or announced date of the examination,

- the lecturer does not have to act on the matter until he/she has received an information e-mail from the Centre, informing him/her of the need for the increase in time and offering to assist in making the arrangements,

- a request for an increase in time due to specific needs made directly by the student will not be considered by the teacher,

- the rate of the increase in time is determined by the Centre on the basis of the results of standardised tests or practical examinations in the context of functional diagnostics, the rounded percentage value taking into account the medical difficulties in producing the written output, not the student's reduced intellectual capacity, and is related to the time required by the average university student to produce the written assignments, without naturally reflecting the extended or virtually unlimited time for producing the output that the tutor provides to all students, where appropriate,

- if, at the instructor's discretion, for organisational reasons, it is necessary for the student to complete the written work with an increased time allocation in a separate room, the Centre may provide supervision in that room or may provide a supervised room on its own premises.

Organisational measures

- the student has the right to organizational measures aimed exclusively at study control only if he/she asks the teacher to do so through the centre in advance, usually at least three working days before the duly announced or announced date of the study control,

- the tutor does not have to act on this matter until he/she has received an information e-mail from the Centre, informing him/her of the need for extra time and offering to assist in making the arrangements,

- if the student has been indicated a separate room for writing work as part of the revision process, the Centre can provide supervision in that room or can provide a supervised room on its own premises,

- if the student is entitled to write the written work on a computer, the Centre may lend a laptop with common software equipment and arrange for the student to be supervised, or may provide a supervised room on its own premises,

- sensitive documents, such as assignments or test results, can be handed in electronically by secure means or in hard copy in person if the teacher wishes,

- if specific communication rules are part of the support measures, these must be followed throughout the teaching and study control,

- if the student uses echoing to communicate, the teacher does not need to increase the volume of speech, or try excessively to achieve the best possible articulation or significantly reduce the pace of speech - it is best to communicate naturally and, above all, to maintain a frontal position in relation to the audience,

- individual oral examinations, i.e. without the presence of other persons, are carried out by the teacher only if it is ethically and organisationally acceptable; otherwise, the number of persons present should at least be kept to the minimum necessary,

Personal assistance

- the service is provided by the Centre through its professional staff, or in exceptional cases by the staff of an organisation providing personal assistance as a social service,

- the assistant has the right to participate with the student in full in the lessons,

- the scope of the service is determined by the student.

Transcription service

- the service is provided by the Centre through its professional staff or external collaborators, or in exceptional cases through the staff of an organisation providing simultaneous transcription as a social service,

- the transcriber has the right to participate with the student in the full scope of the lesson,

- the extent of the service is determined by the student.

Study assistance

- the centre can request the service from the teacher, who also determines the scope of the service,

- the service is provided exclusively by the Centre's professional staff

Preparation of study materials

- the service is provided by the Centre, unless the teacher decides otherwise (in which case the Centre must be notified),

- if the service is provided by the Centre, for organisational reasons, the teacher must submit or send the materials at least two working days before the date on which the study material is required,

- sensitive documents, such as test assignments, may be submitted electronically by secure means or in hard copy in person if the teacher wishes.
